AVILLA – ReStore Avilla’s (Restore) pocket park project is starting to gain momentum. The electric lines have been buried, the power pole has been removed, and soon an irrigation system will be installed and the property will begin to transform into a lovely green space for the community to enjoy.
Entries are being received for the Name the Park contest from Avilla residents. In its September meeting, ReStore members will vote to determine from the mailed-in entries, what the park will be named.
Jill Hoffelder volunteered and was appointed as manager for the Farmers Market, which is currently being held each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MarketPlace of Avilla. The Farmers Market will be open through September 29th.
